IL-6 Promoter Functional Polymorphism -572C/G Affects Spontaneous Clearance of Hepatitis B Virus Infection |
Background: Recent research has shown the host innate immunity plays important roles in controlling HBV infection, and interleukin-6 (IL-6) is the key factor involved in the innate immune response. It is well known that the polymorphisms of IL-6 promoter can affect both the transcription and production of IL-6. This study aims to investigate whether there is an association between the IL-6 promoter functional polymorphisms and spontaneous clearance of HBV. |
